MeteoFeed

Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the MeteoFeed weather API and website, operated by AW ICT (“MeteoFeed”, “we”), Meppel, the Netherlands. By creating an account or using the API you agree to them.

1. The service

MeteoFeed provides a REST weather API that aggregates authoritative public weather sources. We may add, change or remove endpoints, data sources and features over time. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

2. Accounts & API keys

3. Acceptable use

4. Fees & billing

Free and paid plans are described on our pricing section. Paid plans are billed in advance per the selected interval; quotas reset each billing period. Non-payment may lead to suspension or downgrade to the Free plan. Prices may change with notice for future periods.

Quota and usage units. Each plan includes a number of units per billing period (the “requests per month” on the pricing section). An API call that returns one result counts as one unit. A call that returns several data series at once counts one unit per series it returns: one per metric for a multi-metric history call (metric=a,b), one per station returned for the all-stations call (/v1/current/stations), and one per location that is matched to a station, per metric, for the batch history call (/v1/historical/batch). Only successful responses (HTTP status 2xx and 3xx) count; error responses, refused calls and rate-limited calls (HTTP 429) do not. Every response states the units it counted in the X-Usage-Units header (and in meta.units for bulk calls), and your dashboard shows the running total for the current period; our usage counter is the record for quota and billing purposes. A call that starts while you are within your quota is completed and counted in full, even if that takes the total past the quota; after that, further calls are refused with HTTP 429 until the next period or an upgrade. Unused units do not carry over to the next period. The per-minute rate limit counts calls, not units.

Upgrading to a paid plan requires a valid VAT or tax registration number on your account before any payment or invoice is processed. EU VAT numbers are validated against the EU VIES service; customers outside the EU provide their local tax registration number. This is used to apply the correct VAT treatment (including EU B2B reverse-charge where applicable).

5. Data, accuracy & attribution

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service unless a separate service-level agreement is in place. We may perform maintenance and may throttle or suspend usage that threatens platform stability.

7. Warranty disclaimer & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, abuse, or non-payment. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will change accordingly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes are subject to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.
